Yes, it is possible to manage access to websites on multiple devices using Lumiun DNS. You can register various locations with different devices, enabling control of internet access through them. We provide support and integration with a variety of routers from the most recognized brands in the market, in addition to compatibility with major firewalls, operating systems, and web browsers.

How to set up Lumiun DNS on my device?

Yes, it is possible to suggest new filters or applications for Lumiun DNS. To make a suggestion, simply log in to your account, click on the "Suggest new applications and filters" option on the policies page, and fill out the form with the name and domain address of the filter. Is it possible to obtain reports on blocked domains and the users who attempted to access those domains?

Yes, it is possible to obtain reports on blocked domains and users who attempted to access these domains in any type of installation. However, the visibility of the user or equipment that accessed the site is available only in certain situations, depending on the configuration of the installation type. For instance, when using pfSense integration, detailed reports on blocked domains and the IP/MAC address of the device that attempted to access can be obtained through the Pro plan. These reports include real-time graphs, tables, and statistics, providing comprehensive information about blocked and accessed requests.

Does Lumiun DNS have free versions?

Yes, Lumiun DNS offers a free version called the Free plan, suitable for small networks that want to apply basic blocking against insecure websites and pornography. This is a forever free plan and does not require the use of a credit card.

What payment methods are available?

Payment options include credit card and bank slip. In the monthly plan, charges are made on a recurring basis each month, while the annual plan requires a single payment each year and includes a 17% discount.

What is the payment date?

The payment date for your plan installment is established based on the subscription date. For example, if your plan was signed up on November 28th, your next payment date will be December 28th for the monthly plan. For the annual plan, the next payment will take place on November 28th of the next year.

How do I upgrade my plan?

To upgrade your plan, access the Change plan, select the desired number of users and choose a new plan. You will then be redirected to the payment page, where you must select the desired payment method.

What happens if I downgrade my plan and have features that are not available in the new plan?

If you decide to downgrade your plan and the new plan you choose does not offer some features present in the previous plan, you will be redirected to a page where you must make some settings. This may include removing users, policies, and adjusting plans to ensure a better transition between plans.

Why is it necessary to use a certificate to display a blocking page on HTTPS sites?

HTTPS Sites have a different encryption than HTTP, where it is necessary to use this certificate, completely original and secure, provided by Lumiun DNS.

How to determine the ideal number of users to be contracted?

The metric used to identify users is based on the average DNS requests of a user on the network. This calculation guarantees that there will be no interruptions in the network if it is contracted correctly. You should hire for the peak number of users using the network, for example, if you have a peak of 50 people using the network, the ideal is to hire 50 users.

I performed the configuration, but the location is showing the status as "Awaiting."

It can take up to 5 minutes for the location status to update (it's usually faster than that). You can identify whether the configuration is correct by accessing the real-time reports page, where you will already have access records.

How to check my Public IP?

You can check your Public IP by visiting the website ifconfig.me/ip. The IP displayed when you access the site is your Public IP.

When should I use a DDNS?

When the configuration is via DNS53, it is necessary to link the Public IP in your panel. This Public IP to be linked must be Fixed. If not, it will be necessary to use a Hostname, provided through a hostname provider. To keep the Hostname updated, it is recommended to perform DDNS configuration on your edge router. We have step-by-step instructions for using it.

How to check if my DNS is "leaking"?

You can access the website dns.lumiundns.com/debug. The result should only include Amazon servers. If there is any other server listed, there may have been a misconfiguration in Lumiun DNS.

What happens when I exceed the request limit?

When the request limit is exceeded, generally due to a greater number of users on the network than contracted, blocking does not occur. However, the network remains fully operational.

Why do contents on Facebook and Instagram still appear even after being blocked in Lumiun DNS?

Using Lumiun DNS, it is possible to block applications such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social networks. When testing on mobile devices, it may appear that blocking is not occurring due to continuous display of content. However, these contents are actually pre-loaded, also known as "Cache". When the device is on an unblocked network, these applications keep a range of content loaded. Even without an internet connection, these contents are displayed. However, when connecting the device to a network with Lumiun DNS and blocking configured, these contents are still displayed, but nothing is updated. Searches for new content and profiles are not loading due to blocking.

How many locations can I create?

In the Free plan, you can create up to 1 (one) location. In the Pro plan, this quantity is unlimited.

Is it possible to create a schedule to avoid blocks?

Yes. You can create time range. After creation, you must select which filters should be released at this time by clicking on the clock icon in the blocked filter.
